THE NORMS SET BY IT FOR THE DISCHARGE OF ITS FUNCTIONS:

REGISTRATION

The norms adopted for registration of candidates with the Corporation is that a candidate who seeks registration should possess at least 2 years experience in the relevant post for which he desires to be considered and should hold a valid passport.

REGISTRATION FEES:

For the purpose of registration, the corporation issues printed application forms and collects registration fee as follows:

The filled in application should be resubmitted within 60 days from the date of issue. For belated submission of application, condonation fee at the following rates is collected:

1. Beyond 60 days and upto 90 days ..             Rs. 56/-
2. Beyond 90 days and upto 1 year ..               Rs. 111/-
3. Beyond 1 year .. To be rejected

RENEWAL

The registration with the Corporation will be valid for 2 years counting from the month of registration. Those who desire to continue their registration beyond this period should renew their registration. The renewal fee is Rs.111/-. For belated renewal upto two months, an additional fee of Rs.221/- is collected.

Recruitment:

The Corporation gets enquiries from Overseas employers either directly or through Indian Embassies/Missions working abroad. The employer normally prescribes the name of the post, number of vacancies, Educational and experience qualification to be possessed by candidates. Based on the employer’s indent the Corporation forwards all the resumes of suitable applicants as in the ratio prescribed by the foreign employer. To comply the ratio prescribed by the employer, this Corporation considers seniority of registration among the suitable candidates. For shortlisting of candidates in certain categories, the Corporation considers all available and suitable candidates and forward their resumes to the foreign employer for selection.

The employer scrutinizes the resumes forwarded to him and shortlists the candidates required by him for his subsequent direct / Telephone/ Video Conference Interviews. Once the selection is finalized by the employer, visa and airtickets are arranged for the candidates. Then the candidates are advised to get their education and experience certificates attested and undergo medical examination. Once the selected candidates successfully completes medical examination and certificate attestation process, their cases are taken up for visa stamping /emigration process. Finally the selected candidates are deployed to their place of employment in foreign countries.

Social Security Scheme For Non Resident Tamils

The Corporation in collaboration with New India Assurance Company arranges for accident and health insurance coverage. The scheme is applicable to all Non resident Tamils and recruits going for abroad to the employment through this corporation

Orientation and Training Programme for emigrant Indian Workers:

This company is the Nodel Agency for the above captioned Programme of Ministry of Overseas Indian Affairs, Govt of India and the State Govt. of Tamilnadu. Emigrating workers for overseas employment, whether already holding emigration clearence or intending to emigrate are eligible for free training of 60 hrs in 6 days in selected institutions. The candidates bear the boarding and lodging expenses. The training is for Welders, Fitters, Plumbers, Carpenters, Electricians, etc., in their subjects, in basic accounts and general awareness of laws of the foriegn country and emigration procedure.
