STUDENT INTERNSHIP ABROAD PROGRAMME

The Overseas Manpower Corporation wish to train three categories of student under Student Internship Abroad Programme.   As per this programme, the OMCL will send candidates to Singapore to take apprenticeship  training in their respective field. The period of apprenticeship training will be minimum 6 months and maximum 12 month. During this period, the apprentice will be paid 400 Singapore dollar per month as their stipend. Apart from that food will be provided during working hours.   Accommodation is free during the period of apprenticeship.     One way return airfare will be provided by the employer after the completion of the Apprenticeship Training..

Selection procedure:

Final year student of Bachelor Degree in Hotel Management, Engineering, MBA (Finance or Human Resources or Sales Marketing) may also apply.   Students who are doing project work/undergoing training after completion of the regular period of duration also eligible to apply.  Both sex are eligible to apply for this programme.

Method of Selection:

Eligible candidates will be given 100 hours pre-departure selection training  at the  Overseas Manpower Corporation.  The period of training will be 25 working days.   The training will be in the area of communication skill development, interview orientation etc.   Meritorious candidates will only be selected based on the oral  interview to be  conducted by the employer for the Student Internship Abroad Programme.    Admission & Training alone do not guarantee  the candidate selection for the Student Internship Abroad Programme.   The training cost for this programme will be nominal. Willing and eligible candidates must have passport or must get passport immediately.
